Sharing a few holiday scenes over at my house! Sometimes I incorporate Christmas into existing decor. This year I basically cleared everything out & just moved everything right on in. I needed it this year, & I’m not apologizing to anyone!

We don’t have a mantle, but I treat this sideboard exactly like a mantle. I give you permission to do the same thing!

90% of my Christmas decorations are houses & trees. I put it to good use and made a mini village this year!

In my entry I did a toned down version of the village. Instead of snow, I used a faux cedar garland & added some sprigs of silver dollar eucalyptus. Originally I had ornaments on here as well, but it felt like I was in a Michaels craft store.

Recently I’ve been seeing accent walls pop up all over the place! These aren’t the accent walls of yore when one wall was painted a random color just because (I’m totally guilty of having done this in 2009). Accent walls now are almost treated like art; adding texture, dimension and warmth to the spaces they adorn. A bedroom is a perfect place for an accent wall, since you usually already have a designated focal point. Today, I’m sharing some of my very favorite bedrooms with an accent wall. Take a peek.

So fun, right? I love that there are so many ways to implement the accent wall. Paint, wallpaper, paneling, hand-painted murals… Maybe this will spark some inspiration for your own homes!
